Happy New Year everyone. Well, as I start 2010, I hope to find new creativity and paint better than ever. I think our painting and talent evolve together as will grow with our knowledge and desire to put our feelings on paper. It is that desire that feed us. Here is a painting I finished last year. It brought back memories of playing dolls with my sisters, and is was a joy to paint. Life just seemed simpler then.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I spent the day with family and it was very enjoyable, except I have a horrible head cold an couldn't taste anything, Bummer!!! I have attached a picture of my Christmas card for this year. I know, I should have posted it before Christmas but was just too busy. The card was featured on Empty Easel. http://www.emptyeasel.com/ You can click on the link and then click on LATEST ARTICLE. It was a very nice Christmas present an quite an honor.

Hi all,
You have probably wondered what happened to me. I have been painting, but had to take my camera in because I dropped it. Consequently, I couldn't take photos of anything!!!
Here is one I just finished fo a watercolor group I belong to. I called it shelf Life. It was very fun to paint.
But let me tell you, what a challenge!!!!!
Now I am going to finish a painting of a raggedy ann doll, Which has been extremely fun to do. I hope I don't keep you to long before I get it done.

I have been away for awhile. I just back back from visiting my family in Detroit. It was the first time all six brothers and sisters have been together in about three years. We had lots of fun, and it was definitely too short of a visit, but I am ready to be painting again. Here is a picture of the 6 of us.

I am getting ready for a trip to Detroit in a couple of weeks to visit my family. I have 5 brothers and sisters and we will be together for the first in a long time. I am so looking forward to it and hope I dont miss all the fall colors.
The painting above I did from a photo from a friend I met on webshots. She gave me permission to paint it. It was taken in New England somewhere and is a pen and ink. I called it "The Old and the Beautiful"

Hi and I apologize for not being here for awhile. My on line friend Cia died of cancer and it has been hard trying to concentrate. She was such a fantastic artist and a true southern belle. I will miss her so much.
I have gotton behind on adding my paintings which I have no excuse for. This one called "Looking for Seashells". These are 2 of my grandsons, Ryan and Kyle. I had to combine 2 different photos for the painting so had some problems with body sizes but think it came out ok.

Hi all,
Had a tiring but very fun weekend with 5 of my grandkids while their parents went to Vegas. I was exhausted when they left, but we did a lot of crafts and painting which was a lot of fun. I am finishing up a painting for a group I belong to on the internet and will upload it after I add the finishing touches.
