Home Grown

Here is the final painting. I have to thank my teacher for saving this one from the trashcan. It is just so amazing how someone else's eye can see things thet we cant. I think sometimes that we get so attached to our work, we just dont see it right. Do you agree?

WIP 2

Hi all, here is the next step of the basket WIP. I added more color to the lettuce, painted the knife color in, and defined the veggies some more. I also started on the bricks in the background by lightly brushing in the color so that it gave the texture of bricks. I am not happy with the table and will have to really work to getting that to look better.

New WIP

I thought  I would share my next WIP that I am working on. This is for a project for Watercolor Workshop. I am using a triad on this one also. I have chosen Prussian blue, Perylene red, and Transparent yellow to do this one. I will post  the next WIP in a little bit. Any comments will be appreciated.

I started working on this one in class last week. We are using just the 3 primary colors, so I chose cerelean blue, transparent yellow, and perylene red. We are painting it as if doing a plein aire, which is alot of fun. It sure is loser than my normal style and I am really liking it.
